Announcements Anonymous donation outfits swimmers and divers The boys varsity swimming and diving team is looking sharp, thanks to an anonymous donation that funded dress shirts for every team member. The donor provided 40 button-down shirts with a "GF Swimming & Diving” logo on the upper chest.“The team plans to wear these shirts every day they have a swimming and diving meet,” says coach Kevin Crossman. “The program wishes to express a huge "THANK YOU!" to the donor!!! It once again demonstrates how great Glens Falls truly is,” Coach Crossman said. Team raises funds for canceer research during "Coaches vs. Cancer" event![]() 2012 Olympic Qualifier meets with Glens Falls swimmers On Saturday December 17th, 2011 at the Glens Falls High School Pool, some of Glens Falls' swimmers had an opportunity to meet 2012 Olympic Qualifier Alex Meyer (Open Water Swimming). Alex is originally from Glens Falls, swimming for the Glens Falls YMCA from ages 7 to 10, before moving to Ithaca, NY. Alex was two-time NYSPHSAA Champion in the 500 Freestyle for Ithaca High School. He later went onto swim at Harvard University, earning All-American recognition in the 1650yd Free (14:58.14). He recently earned a qualifying spot for the 2012 London Team in the 25 Kilometer Open Water Event. While at Glens Falls High School pool, Alex spent two hours sharing his journey towards London and educating our swimmers on nutrition, training, visualizing and much more. It was an honor to have Alex use our beautiful facility and volunteer his time! Thank you ALEX! Glens Falls will be watching on August 10th!!! |

On Saturday December 17th, 2011 at the Glens Falls High School Pool, some of Glens Falls' swimmers had an opportunity to meet 2012 Olympic Qualifier Alex Meyer (Open Water Swimming).
